| 1. If the engine is turned by a starter, but not started, remove a high-voltage wire from any candle and, using the tool with the isolated handles, place the end of a wire at distance of 6 mm from weight. |

2. Turning the engine a starter, check that in an interval between a wire and weight the spark slips. |
| 3. If the spark is present, so on a spark plug tension moves. Similarly check presence of a spark on other cylinders. |
| 4. In the absence of a spark and availability of moisture on a distributor cover, dry a cover and a rotor of the distributor, establish them into place and repeat check. |
| 5. Boots of natyazhitel have to rotate freely on axes. If on them there are cracks, chips or considerable wear of a working surface, they need to be replaced. |
| 6. If the spark still is absent, remove the central high-voltage wire from a cover of the distributor and place the end of a wire at distance of 6 mm from weight and repeat check. |
| 7. If the spark appeared, means high-voltage wires to candles, a cover or a rotor of the distributor are faulty. |
| 8. If the spark still is absent, check connection of primary winding of the coil of ignition and giving of tension not the coil of ignition from the ignition lock. |
| 9. If the spark still is absent, check integrity of the central high-voltage wire, having measured its resistance or having replaced a wire. |
| 10. If the spark still is absent, means the control unit of ignition is faulty (switchboard). |
