1. Establish a tee with the manometer in the vacuum hose connecting the EGR valve and switching a vacuum hose. |
2. Start the engine and connect contacts of TE1 and E1 on the control socket. At a temperature of cooling liquid less than 55 °C check that vacuum to an otsutstvo ет at turns of the engine of 2500 rpm. Warm up the engine and check that the manometer shows low vacuum at 2500 rpm. |
|
3. Disconnect a vacuum hose from channel R of the vacuum modulator and connect F1 channel directly to an inlet collector. At turns of the engine of 2500 rpm the manometer has to show high vacuum. |
4. Check operation of the switching vacuum valve (VSV). On six-cylinder engines remove the top casing from the engine for access to vacuum electromagnetic valves. On four-cylinder engines the switching vacuum valve is located on an inlet collector. |
|
5. Check resistance of the switching vacuum valve which has to be from 33 to 39 Ohms.
