9.4. Gear shifting lever

Before installation of the central console on models 1992 and 1993 of year, using spring scales, check the effort necessary for movement of the lever of gear shifting. |
If the effort of movement of the lever of gear shifting does not meet standard, remove the lever of gear shifting and establish laying of the corresponding thickness (see the tab.
Thickness of the adjusting laying used for change of the effort made for the gear shifting lever for its movement).
Use of thicker laying increases effort which needs to be put to the lever for its movement.
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Remove the central console. |
| 2. Remove clamps and disconnect both cables of gear shifting from the gear shifting lever. |
| 3. Unscrew bolts and remove assembly of the lever of gear shifting. |
| 4. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. |
